Scott Dozier was ready to die. Not only did the Nevada death row inmate give up appealing his 2007 death sentence for the murder of 22-year-old Jeremiah Miller, but Dozier had no reservations about the possibility of becoming the first person to be executed in the United States with the opioid fentanyl.

Dozier’s circumstances made him one of the country’s best-known inhabitants of death row, as more and more pharmaceutical companies refuse to let states use their products in lethal injections and force them to scramble for substitutes, like fentanyl. But this weekend, Dozier apparently decided he was done waiting for Nevada to kill him: Prison officials found him hanging from a bed sheet, tied to an air vent in his solo cell on Saturday. They pronounced him dead at 4:35 p.m.

1.the people he killed were Meth dealers.... 2.it wasn't a suicide he got killed because of the lawsuits he kept bringing And motions he kept filling.3. He wanted to die instead of being in death row they could have speed it up but it was torturing him but he didn't want to kill himself. 4. They put him on suicide watch and still killed himself.. 5. Takes more the one shirt and sheet to hang yourself the guards that was watching him helped em... 6.nobody saw him struggle or make the makeshift rope beforehand on being watched or locked down bs too me.7. On top of a government shut down so we can be distracted more huh Ight I see you.

I yet to hear someone on death row say some shit like “I want and deserve the most long, agonizing, torturous, painful method of execution for what I have done or life if that is what the family wants”. That would convince me the remorse being genuine.

I strongly believe the state fakes most of these deathrow inmates deaths and sends them as spies in Russia or to join ISIS to make it look like the US has a real enemy in order to motivate their attacks on certain countries.

For all those getting all mushy eyed and heartbroken by this and feel like he is a good person just remember what he did to someone's son.

“My son is not alive and not able to hug, to laugh, to get patted on the back, to drink water, to eat mints, to see his family, to make decisions for himself, to change his life course, to do anything,” Kimarie Miller testified. “But I miss him. He’s not — he wasn’t like a fly that you swat because it’s an annoyance, and then you never think about him again. He was a part of our lives.”

Kimarie is his mom and she said she doesn't even have all of her son back.... cause his fucking arms hands and HEAD is still missing nearly 17 years later! Empathize with the victims here and quit feeling sorry for the psychopath just cause he's charming and intelligent! And another thing don't feel sorry for him because even in death he had the upper hand. Think about this he didn't accept his capital punishment he didn't allow someone else to control how and when he died. HE DID. Make no mistake that he died empowered knowing he got the best of the justice system who failed the victims and their loved ones any due justice cause he took power and control over how his life ended. Something that most of us the world never have the privilege of doing. Now think about THAT next time you feel sorry for this guy!

He did the crime and should not have been made to do the time. He should have been executed as sentenced.

Nigeria may sit atop one of the largest oil reserves in the world, but the majority of the Nigerian people have seen little benefit from the multibillion-dollar industry. The government and global energy companies have been exploiting the resource for years, bringing poverty, pollution, and violence to the Niger Delta. And now the local militias fighting for oil control have made conditions even worse.

Caught in the conflict are Nigerian citizens involved in the illegal oil market simply for survival. Oil theft is rampant, and the booming black market has transnational oil and gas consultants concerned about the effects on global oil markets. The government isn't too happy about it either.

“All the oil that is sold around here, the government calls illegally refined products,” local oil businessman Don Wizaro told VICE News. And when the Nigerian military raids illegal oil operations, they slash containers, releasing oil into waterways, contaminating what the main source of fishing, agriculture, and drinking water.

As the government continues its assault on illegal refineries and barges carrying stolen oil, local militias are retaliating. And one of the most notorious militias is the Niger Delta Avengers. They attack pipelines and infrastructure, significantly affecting both the environment and the economy.

VICE correspondent Gianna Toboni heads to the heart of Nigeria's oil production to witness firsthand the fight over the control of oil in the Niger Delta.
