Should the US Send Lethal Aid to Ukraine? The Fruits of Mexico's Cheap Labor 2 days ago   14:27

This week, the United States delivered a shipment 10 Humvees to the Ukrainian government — the first installment of a $75 million aid package of non-lethal equipment that is meant to assist the fight against Russia-backed rebels in the country's east.

But despite the overwhelming adoption of a resolution in the US House of Representatives urging President Barack Obama to provide Ukraine with lethal arms, his administration has yet to send such materiel. Debate on this issue centers on whether outfitting the country with lethal aid will serve only to escalate the conflict and trigger a regional arms race between the government and eastern separatists. A question that has received less attention is whether Ukraine's army is even capable of effectively using the weapons it wants.

VICE News correspondent Simon Ostrovsky visited rebel-held areas and the capital of Kiev to explore whether it would be wise for the US to arm Ukraine's poorly trained military with advanced weaponry.

I personally agree that Ukraine needs more things that explode just like the guy in the documentary said. They already had Chernobyl and maybe Russia can help by sending a few nukes to explode in Ukraine.

PUTIN'S POWER COME FROM WEAKNESS AND CORRUPTION OF WESTERN LEADER WHO WILL LOST EVERYTHING IF NOT SACRIFICE SOMETHING AND STRONGLY OPPOSE TO HIM. PUTIN IS NOW COMPARE TO WEST AS RUSSIAN LEADERS WERE ONCE COMPARE TO STRONG WESTERN LEADERS, NOTHING ELSE.

1st phase, 20.000 Paratroopers to cut border with Russia 1km in Ukraine territory 9among them would be a lot of losts, maybe even 1000 but Russia would not enter freely in Ukraine. After that they would stay with supplies only they have now.
2nd phase attack of UK, USA, France with USMC in first waves on Pro Russian rebels with Bombing from high altitude bombers, helicopters etc... It would need only 1/10 of soldiers used for Iraqi Freedom. West could finish this within Ukraine borders without involing Russia. Russia would need to start III World War interfering and Putin will not do that except for Russian border. Because of that cut their supplies from Russia with fast operation and than attack with heavy bombing, only leave corridor for civilians to pass. If they want. If not that's their decision.

The Fruits of Mexico's Cheap Labor Should the US Send Lethal Aid to Ukraine? 2 days ago   22:10

In northern Mexico, farm workers who pick produce bound for US supermarkets earn as little as $7 a day. They follow the harvest, traveling between the states of Sinaloa and Baja California as internal migrants in their own country. With daycare not an option, children join their parents on the job, sometimes working in 100-degree heat.

VICE News travels to northern Mexico and heads into the fields with the laborers to see their working conditions, then meets the organizer leading the fight in the Baja town of San Quintín for better pay and conditions.
